It is some 20 miles south of Tarbert and 20 miles north of Campbeltown, and the village of Carradale is some 5 miles to the south.

Carradale offers shops, bakery, Post Office, restaurants, hotels, a tea-room, bars, golf course, and a wonderful sandy beach.

Campbeltown offers supermarkets and shops, restaurants and cafes, swimming pool, and cinema. Machrihanish and Dunaverty golf courses are only a short drive away.

Kintyre is a fantastic place for bird and wildlife watching, with dolphins an occasional visitor to the bay below Cliff Cottage.

Other activities include island-hopping, walking, pony trekking, fishing, golf, wind surfing, cycling, whisky tasting and distillery tour, or just take time to enjoy the scenery and chill-out.
